Image Enhancer: Browser Filters & 2x Server Upscaling

Low light, soft camera focus, and digital compression can reduce the clarity of photographs and web graphics. The Image Enhancer on ImageProBox provides two distinct processing modes so you can choose the exact workflow and data-processing method that fits your needs.

Use Manual Filters to adjust brightness, contrast, and sharpness locally inside your browser memory. When you need higher resolution and refined edges, switch to the High-Precision Upscaler (processed in memory on the ImageProBox server via Sharp Lanczos3). Each mode clearly indicates how your image is processed before you begin.

Key Benefits

  • Two Transparent Processing Modes: Choose between local Manual Filters or server-side High-Precision Upscaling.
  • Local Browser Filter Controls: Fine-tune brightness, contrast, and convolution sharpening locally in your browser's volatile memory.
  • 2x Server-Side Lanczos3 Upscaling: Double image dimensions and refine edge clarity using our stateless server upscaler (/api/enhance).
  • No Persistent Image Storage: Images sent to the Server Upscaler mode are processed in volatile memory without permanent storage on ImageProBox servers.

How to Use

  1. Upload Photo: Select or drag your image into the Image Enhancer workspace.
  2. Select Enhancement Mode: Choose Manual Filters (local browser) or High-Precision Upscaler (ImageProBox server).
  3. Configure & Process: Adjust sliders in Manual mode with live preview or click the action button to run the 2x Server Upscaler.
  4. Download Enhanced Image: Preview the enhanced output and download your processed image directly to your device.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are my images processed in the different Image Enhancer modes?

Manual Filters run locally in your web browser using HTML5 Canvas. High-Precision Upscaler uploads your image to the ImageProBox server (/api/enhance) for in-memory Sharp Lanczos3 processing and returns the upscaled image directly.

Does ImageProBox permanently store photos uploaded in Server Upscaler mode?

No persistent image storage is used on ImageProBox servers. Uploaded image buffers are held in volatile server RAM only for the duration of the active request and returned directly to your browser.

Which mode should I choose if I want my image to stay strictly inside my browser?

Select the default 'Manual Filters' mode. In Manual Filters mode, all brightness, contrast, and sharpness adjustments happen locally in your browser without uploading your image to any server.
